Purpose
The purpose of this organization is to bring together volunteer agencies, government agencies and business and industry to foster more effective response to the people of the area in times of disaster through;
- Cooperation (creating a climate for cooperation, information and meeting together);
- Coordination (fostering a common understanding and providing a liaison with public officials);
- Communications (publishing and disseminating information);
- Education (increasing mutual awareness and understanding of each organization and encouraging effective disaster relief); and
- Convening mechanisms (arranging meetings, conferences and training as necessary)
CCVOAD seeks to ensure the availability of needed disaster relief services and to encourage uniform, impartial delivery of these services.
